I am currently leading or involved in the following research lines:

- Macroevolution patterns in squamates and rhynchocephalians. Evolutionary rates and disaparity analyses as informed from morphological discrete character matrices.

- Lizards from the early Cretaceous of Las Hoyas. Research on articulated lizard specimens from the early Cretaceous lagerstatte of Las Hoyas (Spain), in collaboration with Susan E. Evans.

- Eocene assemblages from the Iberian Peninsula. Research on new lizard and amphisbaenian assemblages from the early, middle and late Eocene from Catalonia (Spain).

- Fossil herpetofaunas from the Vallès-Penedès basin.  Review of previously reported amphibians and reptiles from the Miocene of the Vallès-Penedès Basin (Catalonia, Spain), and description of new material, in collaboration with Massimo Delfino, David M. Alba and Andrea Villa.

- Gallotia from the Canary Islands. Fossil and sub-fossil specimens of the lacertid lizard Gallotia from Tenerife and Gran Canaria (Spain).

- Fossil skink from the Canary Islands. Description of a superbly preserved articulated skink from the Quaternary of Gran Canaria (Spain).

- Lizards and amphibians in amber. Contributing to the description of specimens from mid-Cretaceous burmese amber.

- Permian and Triassic vertebrates. Research on fishes and tetrapods from the Permian and Triassic of NE Spain. Works lead by Josep Fortuny and Eudald Mujal, in collaboration with Oriol Oms and other colleagues from ICP/UAB.
